2. The Ballad of Blurt & Glurnie 4:22

There once was a man called Blurt
He whistled through his teeth
Always wore a chambray shirt
Embroidered with a laurel wreath

Glurnie was his faithful friend
He drove an electric car
His sidekick to the bitter end
Determined to become a star

Blurt believed the Earth was flat
Avoided lengthy trips
Kept his head beneath his hat
His teeth he kept behind his lips

Blurt and Glurnie went up town
To share a pint of rum
But something else was going down
Unbeknownst to both of them

Blurt and Glurnie were about to learn
Fate can take an unexpected turn

A circus train was rolling through
Attracting quite a crowd
Shoulder to shoulder shoe to shoe
The clamoring was deafly loud

Blurt and Glurnie jumped the train
And rode for weeks and weeks
Blurt and Glurnie went insane
The circus car was full of freaks

Blurt had a pumpkin head
Glurnie’s was a gourd
Blurt sawed a woman in half
Glurnie swallowed a sword

about

Limpid Green Minneapolis, Minnesota

Our music always starts as impromptu sketches. Sometimes we embellish them by mixing and matching clips or by adding found- sounds. Lyrical content comes from out-of-context dialog of many diverse sources.
